World Cup 2022 France vs Denmark Tips and Predictions

Holders France face their toughest game in Group D as they take on Denmark at the Al Janoub Stadium on November 26th.

France got off to the perfect start as they beat Australia 4-1. Although the score-line looks thoroughly convincing, Les Bleus had to come from behind and did survive several scares along the way. Nevertheless, they created numerous chances and had they been a little more clinical, they could have notched six or seven and significantly boosted their goal difference in the process. This will be a little tougher.

Denmark couldn’t find a way past Tunisia on Tuesday afternoon with Kasper Hjulmund bemoaning his side’s first half performance. Having failed to find a way past Tunisia, the Danes simply must take something from this fixture. Having already beaten France in 2022, they will be feeling relatively confident.

They have three points on the board and they will be keen to finish top of this section and get the job done with a game to spare. They have previously found Denmark tough opposition, however, they should be able to edge this fixture by a very slender margin

DENMARK +1 HANDICAP

Denmark struggled to create chances easily against a stubborn Tunisian defence, however, France looked a little more generous during their victory over Australia. It’s hard to imagine the Danes drawing consecutive blanks at this tournament and they should be able to register.

Although he has clearly benefitted from the misfortune of other players, Olivier Giroud is a seasoned and trustworthy operator and he began the 2022 World Cup with a well-taken brace. Christian Eriksen was the key men for Denmark once again in their goalless draw, however, he wasn’t able to unlock Tunisia’s defence. He’ll be hoping that France’s back-line is a little more accommodating.

Team news: Thomas Delaney was forced off with an injury against Tunisia and he will be assessed ahead of this contest. Kasper Hjulmund’s side faced a bruising encounter and several players may be carrying knocks ahead of this second Group D encounter.

France showcased their impressive firepower during their 4-1 victory over Australia and Didier Deschamps’ attack-minded formation paid dividends. The Holders have an abundance of firepower and should be able to find a way past the Danes.

Denmark struggled against Tunisia, but they cannot afford to drop any more points here. They have plenty of options going forward and it’ll probably be a case of simply finding the right combination in the final third.
